Typically, the focus of promotional website is to inform a consumer about an event, a promotion, the launch of a product or service. In addition, it serves to collect registration information or as an alternative method of entry (AMOE) to mobile.

New Balance Chicago Marathon

In support New Balance’s sponsorship of the 2007 LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon, a free New Balance Connections training website was created for all marathon registrants. The site featured customized training programs for ALL experience levels, nutrition information from PowerBar, web chats with elite runners and experts, shoe and apparel overviews, and forums for connecting with running groups.

Other features included: a 20-minute course video with commentary that covers the entire 26.2 miles from the runners’ perspective; text or email alerts that provided training tips, nutritional information and motivational messages; personal wake up call service to your cell phone or home phone; computer flash game with runner's obstacle course game that could be shared with friends and family.

Samsung Enchanted Movie Promotion

In partnership with Tic Toc, Mango mobile helped Samsung create an in-theater promotion to leverage their involvement with the hit movie Enchanted. Mango created a text2win promotion that drove consumers back to a promotional micro site for prize fulfillment and CRM data capture. Text2win messaging ran onscreen in theaters during the promotion as well as being included on additional in-theater promotional materials.

Functionality of the promotional site can include entering your mobile number for the deliver of short message service (SMS), multi-media messaging service (MMS) or WAP (WEB) link push to the consumers handset. For most brands, this type of promotional website, with just 3 to 10 pages, will provide all the necessary interaction with consumer and information pertaining to the promotion, to lead to a successful hub of promotional activity and data collection.
